Oh boy. It looks like fasting and laxatives are less fun than they sound. I googled some more.
The wonderful Lyn Faulds Wood has a video in which she matter-of-factly tells us all to just get on with it – it’s not as bad as it sounds, most people referred for a colonoscopy don’t get bad news and even if it is, the earlier it’s caught the better. People survive bowel cancer. She has done / is doing.

I feel much better, although it’s clear that the worst part will be the ‘bowel prep’. I am not good at going without food for a few hours let alone that long. Oh well. I’m lucky to have these tests available. Still not looking forward to it…
