3 days later and we see Dr Inscrutable. Red cell count is now 108, platelets an awesome 163 (we say awesome, Dr Inscrutable simply says the bloods are improving as expected). The Doc is expecting Husband’s blood counts to continue to improve and that ‘over time you can expect to get back to your normal self’. I think we’ve forgotten normal. It sounds nice.
3 more days of fruit tea and we’ve both had the bug so we share a rather odd range of tastes – oven chips and spinach, sautéed celery, white bread and not much else.
Today I accompanied Husband on two 15 minute walks. He’s lost some weight but he’s feeling and looking much more like himself.
